Boneheads BBQ
Billed as a southern smokehouse, Boneheads serves smoked sausage, smokehouse wings, pulled pork, brisket and other BBQ mainstays. Open Sunday …
Authentic Southern barbecue has finally come to Halifax, and Boneheads led the charge. Since opening on the corner of Barrington and Inglis streets in January, this casual spot has built a loyal following. “Barbecue” can vary a lot from region to region—rather than commiting to one specific area, the Boneheads menu is a greatest-hits selection of highlights from across the continent. The menu is jammed with Southern staples like smoked sausage, smokehouse wings, pulled pork, brisket and the leak, served with sides like cornbread and potato salad. It’s not terribly healthy and, if you’re not careful, it can get pretty messy. But if you’re looking for a break from the bistro-style lunch fare that so many downtown restaurants offer, it’s definitely something different.
