I argued that it was a rather trite and manipulative PR tactic. In particular, I singled out MLA Andrew Younger. In response, he sent me an email explaining why he did so. To follow-up on this follow-up, I have to concede that I was pretty hard on Younger. I ignored the immediacy of Twitter, and assumed his message was a calculated PR move. I didn’t consider the possibility that it was, like so many Tweets, totally spontaneous.
