Halifax Magazine and East Coast Living win Atlantic Journalism Awards

Sister magazines took home five awards Saturday night

On Saturday, May 7th the Atlantic Journalism Awards celebrated the best print, radio, and television stories and publications of 2015. Halifax Magazine received three nominations and East Coast Living received two.

Halifax Magazine won three silver awards: Atlantic Magazine: Best Cover for the June 2015 issue; Atlantic Magazine: Best Profile Article for “Level up” by Sarah Sawler; and Commentary: Any Medium for “How we remember” by Trevor J. Adams.

A highlight of the evening was the keynote speech by Mohamed Fahmy, the Egyptian-Canadian journalist, who was wrongly imprisoned in Egypt for a year.
