Make Music Day

June 21

Make Music Day is a world wide celebration of live music held on June 21, the Summer Solstice, in more than 750 cities in 120 countries. The Alliance Française organized the 2017 event in the Halifax Public Gardens, and this year expects it to expand to dozens of venues all over Halifax and Dartmouth, with live performances, afternoon and evening. All free to the public, and performed by volunteer musicians.

National Indigenous Peoples Day

Royal Nova Scotia International Tattoo 2018

2018 marks the 40th anniversary of the Tattoo and this year they will celebrate by honouring our Heroes and Legends, commemorating the end of the First World War, The Battle of the Atlantic and Women in Service and will kick off the celebration with a good old fashioned ceilidh. The show features everything from pipers, drummers, dancers, acrobats, bands, choirs, display teams and more.

Canada Day Celebrations
