The government of Nova Scotia announced a fourth active case of COVID-19 in the province.
Like last week’s new cases, this case is related to international travel. The individual traveled from the United States, into Nova Scotia en route for P.E.I. As they are still within the 14-day isolation period required by the federal Quarantine Act, the individual is quarantined under federal authority in Nova Scotia.
The QEII Health Sciences Centre’s microbiology lab completed 178 Nova Scotia tests on July 5 and is operating 24-hours.
To date, Nova Scotia has 55,113 negative test results, 1,065 positive COVID-19 cases, and 63 deaths. Some 998 cases are now resolved.

While many vendors aren’t ready to return, says Kristi Russell, market manager, there will be 15–17 vendors on site. Russell reminds visitors to bring a reusable bag and cash, as the ATM will not be available. As always, please wear a mask when in busy locations.

A balloon missing from a cross-continental race landed near a lake in the Milton and Middlefield area of Queens County.
