It’s been 80 days since you could mosey up to a Nova Scotian bar for a pint with friends. While many taprooms, bars, and restaurants reopen today, expect many changes.

Many breweries have decided to wait a week or more to reopen so they can create new systems to keep people safe. Luckily, the provincial government announced this week that home delivery can continue, which means your favourite beers are just a click or a call away.

I’ve done my best to keep this list updated, but things change quickly. Please use the links below to confirm your favourite spot is open before visiting.

All taprooms and breweries have new provincial regulations to follow; many have new in-house protocols from arrows on the floor to mandatory reservations. These rules are new for you, but they’re also new for staff. We’re all learning together. Be kind to staff and tip generously. Remember that most of them have been off for weeks or months, and everyone is operating at 50% capacity or less, which means fewer tips.
